WHY WE BELIEVE IT IS IMPORTANT TO EMPOWER KIDS

Today, more than ever - kids are struggling socially, emotionally, physically, and academically. They’re overwhelmed, stressed, and don’t know where, or how to feel safe to be themselves without being judged, alienated or labeled. We have all witnessed how alarming it is when kids get stuck, and develop habits that are unhealthy for their body, mind and spirit. We know our kids deserve better than that.

And that’s a big reason why Get Empowered! was created. Our goal and vision is simple; to embrace and support kids of all ages and backgrounds by providing diverse cultural, healing arts, education and unifying experiences that allow them to thrive and be their best selves. By partnering with schools, after school programs, camps, cultural institutions and community based organizations - we aim to fill the void and hardships created by severe cut backs in multicultural arts, education and therapeutic resources. We believe that kids grow, learn and get uplifted in diverse ways and when they are exposed to positive experiences, they can (and will) reach their highest potential.

Our unique curriculum framework and rotation of hands-on activities nurtures the whole child.

IN THEIR OWN WORDS...

We are motivated and inspired everyday to empower children and give them opportunities to discover how to learn, grow and thrive to become their best selves.

We asked three questions to learn more about how they want to Get Empowered! Here’s what some of them shared...
